Weekend Round-Up

Sunday, June 10, 2007

As the days get longer and the weather nicer, I have noticed we are doing much too much for me to find time to post on the weekends.

Right now The husband has corralled the children into the living room to watch Hell Boy. It's a good movie, but not one of my favorites, so I figured this was a good time to post.

According to Blue Boy, Who typed that while I was in the washroom, It says Blue Boy Rules and mommy drools. I erased the part where he typed his name.

I can accept this, as my pillow is always soaked in the morning when I wake up, but I do NOT drool during the day. Unless I am napping. Then I do.

Fathers Day is coming up really quick, I am taking suggestions on what to get/do for the husband this year... He made sure I had an AWESOME mothers day, I'd like to return the favor.
Also, the last three Father's days I sort of forgot they existed and was a total bitch and slept in while he got up and dealt with the kids.

Techie devices? Camping stuff? I don't know what to get the fathers in my life either. Food is always good for one and the Hubby guy wants whatever I didn't think to get.

Metaldad and I do not exchange Mother's day or Father's day gifts because he's not my daddy-- well, he IS my "daddy"-- but you know!Thank God my kids are old enough to do this stuff on their own.

Shelli, If I come up with something, I will let you know. Actually I do have an Idea, but Im not sure its the best thing to do. i will email you about it.

Marilyn Hmm we have a billion and seven camping things already. And I am more into the techie stuff, Maybe some edible underwear?

Metal Mom I really appreciate the "daddy" type things that JJ does. As such, I want to let him know, and while I tell him quite often how I feel about what he does around the house, Fathers day is a perfect reason to splurge a little and make him feel good.

Please, don't misunderstand!MD is the bestest dad.He allways did the whole sports thing with the boys and even did tea with babygirl. He's so supah every day and he gets 'thank you's' from me quite often!! (especially when the kids are out!) Edible undies are always a welcome choice--for both of you!!LOL

How about lots of love making interspersed with his favorite foods laced with more love making? Just tire his ass out.

Now, what you plan on doing with the kids while you two are making tons of whoopi is another questions entirely.

Like Metalmom, we don't "do" Mother's Day and Father's Day around here. Not that we don't appreciate each other's parenting skills, we just don't celebrate it.

And I'd fall over in a faint if Artsy ever remembered either day.

I'll probably try to have Sparky help me make a dessert or something for her Pepaw next Sunday, but that's about it.

Sleeping in on Father's Day made me laugh. When my boys were little, I figured Father's Day was the one day he ought to get up and deal with all the morning stuff since I did it the other 364 days of the year! Purpose being to remind him he was a father. No, he was not as amused as I was.

Why do guys have to be so damned hard to buy for, I have no idea what to do for Father's Day either.
I'm not big on big fancy gifts casue I never get anything like that, not birthday, not mother's day, not valentine, not even christmas. Although that could be because I don't want him to buy me much of anything and I tell him that. All I ever want on those "special days" is some extra love and attention, and to be treated special/appreciated.

I'm no help am I
