I watched my very first football game today. How could I not?

For the first time since 1989, the Saskatchewan Rough Riders have won the Grey Cup. I should watch next year. I seem to be good luck.

Is the cup really grey? Can't they have a gold one?

you know - I was really disappointed to find out that they don't hand out a "bowl" after the Superbowl - how misleading.... (just kiddin')

Way to go Rough Riders!

You are good luck, you should bring good luck to television shows so maybe the strike will end this week. I'm counting on you.

I like Canadian football. I wish they covered it on ESPN like they did years ago.

Watching your first football game would explain the Kansas City Chiefs tattoo.

You don't know any better.

For Ajooja:
TSN (our ESPN Canadian affilate) now has the contract for all CFL games. They will be covered in the US now.

For Everyone Else:
The Grey Cup is so named for Governor General Earl Grey whom donated the cup for the championship game in 1909 for amateur rugby football. It was adapted for profressional football in 1954. It's a Classic Icon of Canadian Sports.
Same as the Stanley Cup.

Did he put the tea in it when he donated it? Because I like Earl Grey tea... They should call it the Super Earl Grey Tea Cup... then they could have it with an Orange Bowl and it would almost be a meal.

I do not follow sports unless I am a participant.

But, I have always loved the name Saskatchewan.
