I got an E-Mail six days ago. Let me show it to you.
Dear bluepaintred@gmail.com,
We recently have determined that different computers have logged onto your Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us. If this is not completed by November 7, 2004, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.Thank you for your patience in this matter.
Washington Mutual Customer Service
What bothers me so much is not the fact that someone has been accessing my account with a less than stellar password cracker, but that the Washington Mutual Customer Service Peeps have devised a way to go back into the past and delete an account I did not have until June of this year.
Technology these days!

you know Blue...Im not sure about that. Seems to me that I got one of those too and I called my bank and they said to ignore it and do nothing...no one was trying to get into my account...never send any imformation out about your account...just call your bank to be safe. You never know....
I am with Catch. I get this sort of spam all the time trying to get me to pony up my eBay or Paypal information.
Yeah, it's amazing what people will try these days to get your info. Too bad they aren't smart enough to get their facts straight, huh?
And too bad it isn't a savings account...maybe you could get your bank to pay you back interest on those three years your account didn't exist. LOL!
They're probably right about calling the bank.
The long distance switcher guys got me a couple of times and now my phone company calls me to keep me on the nonswitching list thing and I get all worried that it's not my phone company.
What they all said.
Yup it's a big scam that's been running for a while. Don't send your info....always phone first. Better to be safe then sorry.

Back to the Future was a pretty good movie......
Thought I'd chime in with the SCAM thing too, although it's pretty redundant now, eh? LOL
They put 2004 in the letter? Someone needs to learn to edit.
kinda makes you scared when you realize these idiots are holding your money; isn't it? LOL
I get at least 3 email a day asking me to confirm account info at banks that not only do I NOT have accounts with - I've never even heard of them!
And your letter had better grammar than the ones I get, too.

Damn it! You caught me! Great! Thanks for ruining my whole vacation plans! Me, my mom and Sheila (and the baby of course) were headed to Vegas and now you have foiled our plans! Way to go!
:o)
heh. Not very smart are they?
Ooh, I love getting emails like those. It makes me feel all clever when I figure out that they're scams!
Y'all
I am aware that it was spam! I was just highly amused at the date they planned on suspending my account. rest assured i gave them no information.. sheesh.
shall we blame the lack of noticeable sarcasm in this post on the cold medicine?
I get those all the time. A$$holes!
That's EFFED up! I knew you were being sarcastic. 'Course, I knew about it already, so...
I totally noticed the sarcasm, fyi. :P

I keep getting lottery winning notices from England and I have never been there! HA!
Oh good, you were sarcastic. If you were serious, I was going to have to stop reading you.
