As if!
The husband And I were just talking about how expensive school supplies have gotten. Now on the school supply list, they don't just list what the kids need to bring, they want us to buy specific brand name items!
But thats not the point. We were talking about glue. White glue to be exact. I owned up to the fact that when I was in grade school I was a regular paste-eater and, if you really want to know, during craft times with the kids, if I get paste on my finger, I will lick it off before I wipe it off.
He said he has never tasted glue.
I call bullshit. What do you say?
Since Friday, I have painted my nails Wal*Mart (yellow), Marine Scene (blue/green), Red October (deep metallic red), 115A (navy blue), Slut Red (uh. Like it sounds), and Mandarin Mantra (orange).
Right now, my nails are naked.

... first? ...
HOLY GEEZ OH CRAP OH MY! Finally.
Point being, I didn't read your post yet. But, I find killing small animals helps my headaches. ;)
pee ess - I've never tasted glue either. No desire. Eva.
Mm mmmmmmm mmm mm mmmm mmmmm mmmm.
Translation: My mistake was to lick super glue.
I still get a warm and fuzzy feeling from the smell of peppermint.
I've never tasted glue or paste. I think YOU are the weird one...
I have not ever tasted glue. I do know, though, that when we were younger, paste (different than glue) was minty flavored.
I think it completely sucks that they make you buy certain brands. They do that here, too, and it often means going to several different places to find everything we need. It's retarded.
You are weird with the different colored nails. I can't find time to paint mine once. lol
Why do you have to buy specific brands? What happens if the kids bring generic supplies instead?
Would you like for me to send you all of my left over polishes? hehe
Brand specific sucks. If they put Elmer's on the list, my mom would just by generic.
I remember tasting paste, but not glue. I remember putting glue on my hands and waiting for it to dry, then peeling it off.
It was boring waiting for the glue to dry.
I buy whatever we need whenever we run out of it. About this time of year I cruise the aisles with Jasmine and look for really good deals on stuff we like. Colored pencils, nice notebooks, specific brands of pens we like and a bendy ruler that she can't step on and break. Those were all our school supplies at school supply time this year. I spend money on curriculum though and I think it ends up being way more expensive.
Well, I'd not buy off-brands anyway. 'specially glue if you're going to eat it. Never know what is in that generic kind, eh. LOL
he might be telling the truth. I never ate paste when I was a kid either!
I completely forgot what I was going to say.
Did you put Tiggers slut red nails on too so you're matching?
Sheila Yup!
Sheila I knew you could do it! Oh. And the kids were in bed before the headache started!
Sheila Weirdo!
Angry hey! at least you didn't glue your fingers together!
Not A Granny mmmmm. I miss that flavor. I mean smell...
Mr.Fab YOU of all people, I expected to back me up!
Shelli I cannot NOT paint and repaint my nails. Its a sickness. I swear it is. Besides if I am painting them or getting them to dry, I cannot bite them. Paint is my only defense against nail biting..
Avitable I don't know. I'm not rebel enough to try it!
DeeJay What colors???
Lynda I love doing that! the glue on the hand and peeling it. Although I also do my legs so I can peel off huge strips. But you have to shave first!
Marilyn you home school, right? Home schooling has awesome benefits!
KG only the best for me!
Webmiztris sheesh. You don;t even know what you are missing!
CoffeeMom not yet. But my nails are 115A and Red October right now! It looks great!
Ewwww. never tried glue.
But I'll agree school supplies are spendy - and I only had to buy for two - $73.98 later we were out of the store, and we didn't even buy new backpacks!
Nope.. never eaten glue, never had a kid who ate glue either.
Maybe I bought the wrong brand? LOL. Perhaps that's the conversation in the staff room when they're making up those lists?
Teacher #1 - Yeah, I find the kids tend to go for the LePages slightly more than the Ross's.
Teacher #2 - I agree, it's probably because LePages has a nicer bouquet and a mellower aftertaste.
Teacher #1 - Oh, for sure.. and you know... it doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth the way that Ross's does.
Teacher #3 - What about the stick glue? You know, if you chew it just right, it's like you're having a party in your mouth and all the gummibears showed up at once.
School Secretary - That's it. I'm insisting on brands they'll use for you know... the schoolwork.
He did attend grade schoo, didn't he. If so, he definately ate glue.
This is weird. I just left a comment on another blog saying "What's wrong with eating paste?" I think the planets are in alignment. Or need aligning.
