I have marshmallows - and I am not sharing!

Wow. I just had the bestest night ever.

In case you don't read my other blogs, I guess now is the time to tell you I am leaving. But only for two days. Don't worry, I have someone super special coming to do guest posts for those nights!

See, on Friday, me the Husband, the brats and best of all, BFF Kissy, are going camping. I love camping.

LOVE.IT.

Me and Kissy got together tonight to do some last minute shopping and of course, to drink some coffee - Cus coffee rocks.

Have I mentioned yet that I will be without coffee while we are camping? We were unable to get an electrified campsite, so the coffee pot has to stay at home.

This saddens and distresses me.

(hint: It should also sadden and distress you)

Oh. And since I'm such an awesome mom, I neglected to ensure they had enough water yesterday and two out of three were puking all morning! Yay me!

But . . . What's a little puke anyway? Look at how much fun we had!

They should have coffee at the campground office/store or whatever. If not, run into town every morning to buy some at the gas station.

Why don't you just pour water through the grounds. That's what my parents always did. Or buy a coffee press.

Should we worry about you with no coffee or your family with you having no coffee?

Kid in the picture looks a little distressed. Is it because Mom will be a monster with no coffee? Replace the coffee with something else high in caffeine or the headaches will ruin your great time!Have fun!!

Coffee press! Get a press! You just have to boil the water!

Don't want to see you with no coffee...

Why can't you just boil some water and make coffee? And here I thought you were smart. A smart person would do WHATEVER it took to get their caffeine fix.

We have tried a lot of things for coffee while camping. Those backpacking esspresso machines are messy and don't make enough. Coffee press... messy too. When I'm car camping I use an old fashioned percolator... just set it on the camp stove or the campfire. When backpacking we use those coffee tea bags made by Folgers. Taste is not so good but with some cream and sugar it's almost like real coffee. I can not live without coffee.

A coffee press or preculator will do the trick, or you can be brave and just cook coffee grounds and water in a pot, then just before you want some coffee put a little cold water in and quickly dip your cup in.

Big Daddy did the campfire coffee thing on the weekend, but I had family that had a preculator and we didn't have electricity either.

Holy cow, woman, do you not know how to make Cowboy Coffee? Throw that shit right in a pan of boiling water and strain it into a cup.
Or, you can buy a percolator type pot that sits right on the fire pit.
I don't camp anymore, but when I did, yeah, coffee was a must!
