Snow Day

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Ok people I bow down to you. The DDR video staring me, the wonderful Bluepaintred, has been shot. However, I couldn't figure out how to make the TV steps as well as the mat show up, so I did the song twice and I am going to fool around with the editor to see if I can get it to cut in and out from one video to the other.

Sigh.

Plus, plus! I killed the DDR matt and the second time thru, every godamn fucking time I stepped down on the right side arrow it shocked the bejesus out of my toe.

I can't feel my toe. Are you happy NOW?

As for the SnowDay title
  • Picture taken at 10 AM today. Everything for most of the Province was shut down. Schools, highways, airports... Jitteryjoe stayed home from work, RM stayed home from school.

And, AND! I made a roast. I could not decide whos recipie to follow so I followed everyones. Made for an... interesting taste.

3-4 lb roast
1 packet of onion soup mix
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
16 ounces of pepsi...seriously

put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low all day. sooooo yummy!! You can also add whatever veggies you want. I'm telling you, you'll never eat a roast different again!

That roast looks good!

And yeah, I've tried the "soda in the roast" recipe like Flip Flop mentioned and it turns out great.

SODA in a ROAST? HMMMM...must try. Maybe. Roast is my FAVE FAVE meal.

Anyway...why did I not know you lived in BC? Was I asleep? LOVE B.C...used to have cousins up there - trying to remember the name of the town - they built their home stripping the trees & building it themselves - my aunt's arms would make a lumberjack jealous. BEAUTIFUL. We're supposed to get hit again starting tomorrow for 3 days...hopefully it won't be too bad spread out like that. How are you looking now?

Did you get the e-mail finally? I never got anything back saying differently...

The blizzard was not fun. I just glad everyone at your and my house is ok. Driving to get Big D from work was hell. It was complete white out. I couldn't even see the front of my car at times. But the schools are closed today, thank God cuz it's -41 with the windchill today. Anyone else missing snow?? I have some cool blizzard pics I'm going to email you. Some people called in to the radio stations and said that they were stuck in traffic for 8 hrs.. on a normal 25 min. trip. Scary... But the Walmart did let people stay over night. I'm sure you're jeolous...LOL.

The roast looks great. I've tried the roast with coke, it turns out great too. But here is a recipe I use most all of the time.

4 lb roast
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp rosemary (dried will work but fresh is always better)
3 bay leaves
1 c. soy sauce
6 c. water.

Brown the outside of the roast. Put everything in a crock pot. Cook on low for 6-10 hours. The longer the better.

Oh ha, thought you said you made "toast." Yep, roast is a little more involved. Looks great. Hmm, are you sure the mat wasn't shocking you on purpose? You know, because you're an ADULT playing your child's game?? :)
