I Lead A Boring Life

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

I think this whole paypal thing is a rip off. Every time I find something I really really want to order, like this, they either accept paypal but don't ship to Canada, or they don't accept paypal at all. This pisses me off to no extent. So I spent forty bux on lebrets and belly button rings and something special for my BFF Kissy. And no, I'm not telling you what it is Kiss!

Protein and carbohydrates; I have been reading up on them becuase they are supposed to be some sort of thing that converts to stored fat. I store enough things without storing fat too! I have found oodles of information about them, but what the fuck are they? What type of food? I know protein is like meat and peanuts and stuff, but the other? Im lost. If its Kraft Dinner, Don't tell me because I will be forced to jump off a bridge and kill myself immediately.

Sigh.

Now that my foot/toe is all better *snort*, I put DDR to its work out mode and set my goal at 150 cals to burn. It took 36 minutes and lots of sweat. But I'm happy.

I have heard a lot of people doing the running/walking on a treadmill for comments, so for each comment I get I will DDR for 3 minutes. I'm not gonna set an "up to sixty minutes" limit thingy. I might not be able to do it all in one session but I *will* do it! Plus I'm a comment whore. Make people come comment. Use a gun if needed. Or chocolate. No wait. No chocolate, they might share!

I'm obsessed with watching Deal or no Deal. It's not on tonight

Chicky, you could always check out the CANADA FOOD GUIDE if you want to know what they are... and FFM is right everything in the brown column. I'm sure Rainbow Man brought home a list from school. The boy is learning about it in health class.

If you want I can help you out with the carb/protein stuff. I can give you recipes, menus, the whole nine yards. FYI: I lost a ton of weight (35 lbs) and 6 dress sizes before we moved, and all I did was change my diet a bit and workout 30 mins 3 times a week.

Pretty much you can associate carbs with almost anything in the bottom of the food pyramid like bread and pasta and cereal. I know it sucks. Anyways this is Lady N. But don't tell anyone. I deleted my old blog because when I switched to Google it smooshed my blogs together which wasn't good. I won't be writing anymore spicy blogs for a while but if I start a new blog with spiciness I'll let you know. You can come read about my boring life at my tricky blog. Keep up the good work on your exercising.

The thing to remember is to pair a "good" carb (meaning whole grain bread, pasta, fruit, potato, brown rice - not chips, white rice or white bread, not refined sugar) with a lean protein (reduced-fat cheese, chicken, turkey, lean red meat, soy protein). The carbs give you quick energy, and the protein keeps you full longer. The key is portion control.

Protein, by the way, ups your metabolism and helps build muscle, which burns fat.

E-mail me if you'd like more details.

And WHAT is DDR?

If you eat lots of fish and fruits and vegetables you will start losing weight.

Also, split your work out into four small routines at different periods in the day if you can.

Example, Morning, walk ten min., Lunch, walk ten min, dinner time, walk ten min.

The trick is to keep your metabolism reved at all times. Not just at one time during the day.

Doing the Low Carb thing now. Lunch, steaks and guacamole. I don't care if guacamole falls in the carb category or not because I feel that I ate enough steak to compensate.

Anything good is a carb... *sigh*

Dinner - bowl of broccoli and chicken. I'm having SO much fun.

What is Kraft Dinner? Do you mean Mac & Cheese - if so - then - that is soooo not what you can eat.

Pasta, potatoes, rice, breads, fries, (basically anything that is good)

In my opinion (not that it's worth anything) a person is better off to learn portions - and stick with the food guide. You need protein for strong bones, and muscles, you need some carbs, and you need veggies and fruits and don't forget the MILK!

What IS DDR?

Carbs are NOT bad. The low carb thing is total BS. What you need to avoid are all the highly processed carbs.
White bread and pasta? out.
Whole grain bread and pasta, fruits, veggies? GOOD.
Sugar? Hell no.

A great site to look at is CalorieKing.com. They sell a book for $8 that would be a bargain at twice the price.
